Tasks

-Shall attend training classes as prescribed by the Training Department. -Works under the direct observation of a Journeyman Lineman and/or other Supervision to assist the Journeyman Lineman and/or other Apprentice Lineman in the installation, maintenance and repair of electric-power, generation, underground cables, and related facilities. -May attend training classes or seminars to gather knowledge of new processes, safety regulations and/or refresher training. -May be required to work on or near energized parts, but only under the direct observation of a Journeyman Lineman and/or a Journeyman Lineman Foreman. -Adheres to all Company Safety and Health Policies while conducting Company business. -Lifting and handling materials up to 60 pounds unassisted. -Could be required to assist in the sleeving, sagging, clipping, and dead ending conductors, shield wires and fiber cables. -May work in storm restoration operations to rebuild and/or repair damaged power systems. -Could be required to assist in setting guard poles, string lead line, and string conductor. -Climbing on and off large trucks and equipment.
