Tasks

-Obtain and evaluate competitive bids from subcontractors and vendors; ensure bid coverage and risk mitigation. -Enforce estimating standards and QA/QC. -Maintain and analyze historical cost databases to improve accuracy and forecasting. -Work with the Estimating team to set the bid strategy, identify key risk items, contingency, and alternatives. -Lead complete estimating packages: quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, cost breakdowns, and written proposal narratives for assigned projects. -Prepare bid schedules, cost summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders. -Run and validate models using HCSS HeavyBid and AGTEK; produce consistent estimating deliverables. -Interpret drawings, specifications, geotechnical, and contract documents to define scope and quantities. -Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and constructability reviews; document field observations that impact price/schedule.
