Tasks

-Track and prepare analyses evaluating capital improvement projects, ensuring alignment with strategy, timelines, and budget. -Coordinating and administrating valuations with third-party consultants. -Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and continuous improvement efforts. -Preparing various financial models and analyses to aid in evaluating the performance of the assets for business insights and the purpose of adding value. -Maintain and update property-specific information and performance tracking tools. -Conduct market research to form key assumptions to be used in NOI forecasting and valuation models. -Assist in preparing valuation models using direct capitalization and discounted cash flow techniques. -Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of the portfolio with a goal of identifying trends, value-add opportunities, and areas for improvement by comparing past and current asset performance. -Prepare research reports and memos summarizing recent developments within the multifamily real estate market. -Track and analyze the financial and operational performance of multifamily assets, including occupancy rates, rent collections, leasing velocity, and expense management. -Preparation of analysis for quarterly and annual valuation results for management. -Review and summarize third-party data to ensure accuracy and reasonability of inputs. -Liaise with external auditors to address process specific requirements related to the quarterly and year end audit review process. -Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of market changes and investment decisions. -Evaluate the return on investment on value-add initiatives including unit upgrades, renovations, amenity enhancements, and operational efficiencies. -Assist in the preparation of the Management’s Discussion and Analysis and Financial Statements on a quarterly basis.

What You Bring

-Strong time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills with an ability to meet quick deadlines -Experience with Power BI preferred -Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite functionality -Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance -Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills -1-2 years of finance or valuations experience, real estate experience or knowledge preferred -CPA, CFA, or CBV (member or candidate with intention to complete designation) -Strong attention to detail & analytical skills -Experience with financial modeling
