Tasks

This frontline leadership role provides coaching and guidance to both team members and operational leaders, ensuring safety requirements are effectively operationalised and aligned with industry standards. We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Safety Advisory and Partnering Team Lead to lead and support a team of Safety Advisory Partners in driving and embedding our operational safety strategies across our Southern Depots. -Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, promoting proactive safety initiatives and effective communication across the organisation. -Lead the coordination of safety training, toolbox talks, inspections, audits, and emergency preparedness activities. -Lead and develop the Safety Advisory & Partnering team, driving performance, capability, and alignment with safety policies and initiatives. -Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, standards, and internal procedures, escalating issues as required. -Lead and manage investigations for significant incidents, ensuring root cause analysis, corrective actions, and timely reporting. -Provide insights and reporting on safety performance to support continuous improvement. -Coach and mentor team members, fostering accountability, learning, and a strong safety culture. -Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of effective controls in collaboration with operational teams.

What You Bring

Our ideal candidate will bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, industry insight, and a passion for fostering a proactive, high-performance safety culture. -Experience managing contractor safety performance and ensuring regulatory compliance. -Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (minimum Graduate Diploma or Bachelor’s). -Extensive years’ experience managing Safety and Health outcomes for a large multi-disciplinary workforce ideally in a complex industrial/ operational environment. -Valid WA ‘C’ or ‘C-A’ Class Driver’s Licence. -ICAM qualification. -A seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of safety, health and environment disciplines. -Demonstrated capability in operationalising safety strategy, risk management, and incident investigation (ICAM qualification desirable). -Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels. -Proven leadership in managing and developing safety teams and driving positive safety outcomes.
