VDC Coordinator

Tasks

-Create federated models for many purposes (PE review models, field inspection models, punch list items, background models, field instruction models). -General review and documentation of design documents and coordination conflicts. -Verifying with field subcontractors that they have the most current coordinated information. -Assist in the validation of model-based project as-builts by trade subcontractors. -Creating all needed data and reports for coordination meetings. -Facilitating regular meetings with design/construction team members and distributing responses to subcontractors. -Review models from designers, subcontractors, and others to ensure proper coordination. -Provide modeling for change order verification, ROMs, scope holes in modeling efforts, design team support, etc. -Coordinate all BIM models (Trades, Vendors, Partners, etc.) -Field CQC support, resolving field disputes through model verification. -Responsible for individual quality control and timely completion of assigned projects.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's/Associate's/Technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). -Field experience in design and construction. -Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and vendor files to meet deadlines. -Travel based on project location but willingness to travel 5-20% of the time to various job locations is necessary. This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research or other "non-administrative" areas. -Familiarity with other modeling software such as BIM 360 / ACC, SketchUp, and AutoCAD -Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD. -IPS will not sponsor employment visas for this position** -Works on complex assignments with assistance, with attention to detail, and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. -Strong working knowledge of Navisworks Manage, including clash detection. -Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. -3-5 years of experience in computer-assisted drafting, design, and VDC/BIM. -Willingness to learn new software and assist in developing VDC standards. -Able to deal with and resolve conflicts between contractors, clients, and the design team. -Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. -Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and installations -Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods. -Working knowledge of BIM 360, ACC, and other Autodesk products.
