The Role

Overview

Inspect and document civil construction projects, ensuring compliance and quality

Tasks

-Track and maintain project materials documentation. -Collaborate with other Inspectors, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers. -Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed. -Work outside during inclement weather conditions. -Provide oversight to ensure quality control tasks are monitored and documented for contract compliance. -Read and interpret construction plans, shop drawings, specifications and contract documents, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. -Perform routine material testing on concrete, soils, and other materials as necessary. -Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, transit, rail, and environmental projects.

What You Bring

-A minimum of 3 years experience -Local candidates preferred -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities -Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) -High School diploma or equivalent -Ability to interpret construction schedules and Primavera P6 experience. -Valid Driver's license and clean motor vehicle report. -Proficiency with PlanGrid, Site Manager, AWP, and other project management software. -This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing -Technical school, associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
