Tasks

-Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. -Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies across multiple sites. -Report major maintenance needs and safety hazards to management. -Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency issues. -Assist in coordinating and supervising third-party vendors and contractors. -Maintain interior and exterior areas, including lighting, painting, carpentry, and minor construction repairs. -Perform routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. -Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce the likelihood of equipment failure. -Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory. -Oversee the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of common areas and building infrastructure.

What You Bring

-The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying. -Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety. -Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers. -Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. -Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions. -Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, property management, or a related field. -Excellent communication and customer service skills. -React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet. -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel between properties may be required). -Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions. -Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time. -Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, breathing protection, and hard hats when needed. -Able to work under stressful conditions at times. -Must be able to move and lift to 40-pound wooden skid or pallet. -Basic proficiency with maintenance tools and equipment. -Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed. -Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical labor in various conditions. -Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections. -Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc. -Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school training is a plus.
