Team Leader - Transport Advisory

Description

• Working with the Talent Acquisition team and Technical Discipline Manager on recruitment activities to achieve team growth targets
• Overseeing team member health, safety and overall wellbeing, including areas such as fieldwork protocols, workplace support and HSE compliance
• Building and developing client relationships to secure ongoing project opportunities for yourself and others
• Fostering our collaborative culture through mentoring, knowledge sharing and contributing to continuous improvement across the technical discipline
• Managing day-to-day team operations including overseeing workload scheduling, team utilisation and timesheet administration to ensure we meet commercial targets
• Leading and developing a team of up to 10 transport consultants, providing mentorship and support for their professional growth
• Delivering and overseeing projects at an Associate, Principal or Technical Director level

Requirements

• A professional qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Understanding team members' career aspirations and supporting them through development planning and goal achievement
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to balance technical delivery with team development
• Demonstrated skills and expertise in traffic engineering and transport planning practice, with knowledge of industry trends and opportunities in Australia, particularly QLD and NSW
• A track record in building client relationships and excellent communication skills
• Experience mentoring and developing junior staff, with strong skills in team coordination and people management
