The Role

Overview

Inspect welding work, conduct NDT tests, and report findings for construction projects.

Tasks

-Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment and conduct VT, MT, PT, or UT observations and provide an assessment of data through reporting -Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks and complex assignments -Read and interpret plans and specifications -Utilize drawings, specifications and diagrams -Communicate effectively with client and project teams and attend project meetings -Make detailed observations, give interpretation of results, maintain detailed documentation and data from test results

What You Bring

-Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound -Ability to kneel and squat occasionally -2 years’ related inspection experience -Ability to work off shifts and overtime -Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance -Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures -High School diploma or equivalent -Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record -ICC certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Post Tension Concrete and Masonry -CWI certifications Level I or II -Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights -CWI AWS D1.1 certification -Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
