Overview

Tasks

-Lead drawing development and CAD-based design tasks, guiding team members and ensuring technical accuracy. -Lead task execution and guide team efforts to meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives. -Guide the application of client standards and applicable design codes and specifications related to design requirements. -Lead client discussions on technical scope, provide solutions, and build strong working relationships through consistent communication. -Participate in occasional site walks for current projects. -Mentor less experinced engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical growth within the team. -Lead quality control efforts across project teams, mentor others in QA practices, and ensure consistency in technical execution. -Lead the design of high-voltage substations (15 kV to 500 kV) using design software.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology -Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) -Proficient in the design of substation physical structures and wiring and controls. -6-10 years of experience -Proficient and influential, with the ability to guide cross-functional collaboration and mentor team members in a multi-discipline environment. -Expert in written and verbal communication, capable of guiding teams, mentoring peers, and presenting complex ideas clearly. -Advanced in analytical thinking and project organization, with strong problem-solving capabilities and a sharp eye for detail. -Advanced ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations (NESC, NFPA, IEEE). -Valid Driver’s License is required. -Proficient in working with AutoCAD, ACADE, or Inventor.
