Overview

Install, dismantle and assemble structural steel on site per blueprints, with safety focus.

Tasks

-Install various types of rigging and other hoisting equipment -Discover pathways for advancement within Northern Strands Group of Companies -Read and interpret blueprints -Assemble and/or installation of new or modified structural steel components -Disassembly and/or removal of existing structural steel components

What You Bring

-Ability to work alone or in a team environment -Strong time-management skills -Ability to follow instructions -Must provide proof of Ironworker Journeyperson Certificate or Apprentice level status; qualified Journeyperson preferred, willing to consider apprentice -Strong attention to detail -Operator hoisting and lifting devices -Ability to use judgement and apply discretion when making decisions -Valid fall protection certification -Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
