The Role

Overview

Install, test, and maintain fiber/copper network plant and power infrastructure for ISP/OSP.

Tasks

-Participates in and/or attends site surveys, assisting Network plan Engineers in documenting current site ISP/OSP configurations. -Conducts systems pre-tests and acceptance tests to validate the designed performance criteria. -Performs circuit testing for voltage, amperage, continuity, and safety after installation and adjusts as needed. -Supports deployment teams for survey, installation, testing, and QA activities. -Works on telecommunication projects of varying size, scope, complexity, and location, and supports preliminary development of the SPRIP. -Restores facilities to pre-install or better conditions. -Identifies and resolves minor project problems to reduce project and program risks. -Supports safe work environments. -Performs restoration of facilities to pre-install or better conditions. -Implements physical fiber and copper cable plants, power connections (in coordination with licensed electricians) conduits, patch panels, and butterfly diagrams. -Participates in the survey, design, and implementation of physical fiber and copper cable plants, power connections (in coordination with licensed electricians) conduits, patch panels, and butterfly diagrams. -Supports pre-implementation coordination activities. -Ensuring installations are performed within safety standards and work site conditions (cleanliness), including restoration of the site to original or better condition. -Assists Network Plant Engineers in the design and optimization of the supporting infrastructure in support of the SPRIP. -Coordinates work effort with ISP/OSP engineers and/or subcontractors.

What You Bring

-Understands and follows all applicable standards (i.e., the National Electric Code). -Education & Experience: High School diploma or associate degree with 5+ years of applicable experience -LG2 Environmental Solutions (LG2) -Specific Skills: General user capabilities with MS software applications required, primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and SharePoint -Certifications: BICSI Technician certification preferred
