Tasks

-Besides the operational role , lead continuous improvement efforts in the area of Strategic sourcing & Cost saving -Actively participate in the Digitization Projects & implementation of smart tools. -Procurement of raw materials, consistent with the Category Strategy and guidance. -Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities -Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and service -Manage overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement of – Chemicals, Process oil & Consumables -Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals -Raw Material procurement of Chemicals, Process oil & Consumable category for 15 plants from more than 100+ vendors and 80+ RM Codes. -Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls and processes. -Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to add value -Establish, implement, and follow the processes & procedures for delivering commercial and cost effective procuring process as per the policy and guidelines of the Organizations for the category -Collaborate with planning Teams , Quality Team , to qualify sources , RM codes , trial production and support on time qualifications of parts and sources -Implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money -Identify opportunities for improvement so as to add value for the category procurement process to continually drive performance and business results -Analyze market and delivery trends so as to modify procurement strategy for the category from time to time, in line with the evolving trends -Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, negotiation and finalization of contracts / Purchase orders -Work closely with Planning team to ensure Business Continuity efforts associated with RM supply outages collaborating with Global Category Teams & Quality /Technology and Plant teams -Accountable & Responsible for Business Continuity, Vendor Plant audits as applicable to support the growth of the Plants/Business. -Drive Continuous improvements - drive lean processes and coordinates with and support R&D / Plant technical -Actively contribute in the transition of Organization Construct - associated with RM Centralization with robust governance & Change Management Program in Place.

What You Bring

-Effective interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with people in variety functions within the organizations as well as with higher Mgmt team. -Experienced in working in a matrix organization of businesses , understanding of business issues, metrics and customer value -Worked in any ERP platform for Material management -At least 2 to 4 years’ experience in Procurement in a multinational company, preferably in the FMCG or Automotive industry. -Experience in handling both local & international vendors -Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to articulate complex issues -Exposure to lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvements, and Operations Planning. -Demonstrated implementation or experience of any cost to serve model -Ability to define , develop, and manage highly complex processes and to drive efficiency improvements -Understanding of S&OP process is an added advantage
