Lead multidiscipline teams with water related mining projects, including geochemists, water quality specialists, hydrogeologists, and engineers
Support geochemical and water quality components of projects including environmental assessments, models, and monitoring programs
Provide guidance to clients, project managers and technical staff on mining related water issues.
Interpret and analyze data, providing related technical support for water resource and environmental projects
Execution of related proposal development and project task financial and schedule management
Prepare technical reports and perform QA/QC of technical documents
Collaborate with other scientific and engineering professionals within the practice on baseline and impact assessment projects, feasibility studies, groundwater and surface water assessments and contaminant investigations, and rehabilitation projects
Lead complex projects with a high degree of initiative and independence and apply a broad range of knowledge

Strong technical aptitude
Minimum of a B.Sc. in Geochemistry, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, or Earth Sciences/Engineering) with a specific focus in the areas of geochemistry, preference may be given to those with advanced degree
Valid Driver’s License required.
Strong organizational and communications skills (able to communicate solutions in writing, verbally, and graphically)
Solid computer skills are a must including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Fluent understanding of Canadian and provincial water quality guidelines, legislation, regulations, licensing and permitting particularly relating to mining in British Columbia, Ontario and Atlantic Canada
Minimum of 10+ years of experience, which must include relevant consulting experience in the mining sector, including mine waste geochemistry assessment, water quality predictions, water quality modelling or the assessment of water quality impacts, preference may be given to those 15+ years of experience
Proven ability to analyze field and technical data, perform research, demonstrate technical knowledge, and problem solve
Fundamental understanding of projecttask management
Experience preparing environmental assessments/ impact statements and other regulatory applications
Ability and willingness to travel to lead field crews, perform environmental monitoring, or participate in offsite meetings with clients and/or regulatory agencies
Professional registration or eligibility is required (P.Geo. or P.Eng.).
Knowledge of water chemistry and contaminant transport modeling software (i.e. Goldsim, PHREEQC, Minteq, MIN3P), Excel, database software, etc., is preferred
Time management skills in balancing immediate and longterm work with varying priorities and deadlines
