The Role

Overview

Design and draft electrical systems using AutoCAD/Plant 3D, conduct site walkdowns

Tasks

-Creative Design & Drafting Excellence: Create and/or modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D. Understand AutoCAD national standards. Display high attention to detail and perform peer checks for other designers -Quality Assurance & Leadership Impact: Conduct self-checks of created models, drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product. May review the work of other designers/drafters and provide mentoring and leadership. Communicate internally with engineers and designers and maintain high level of organization -Client Collaboration & Site Engagement: Perform walkdowns at client sites and generate walkdown reports. Work directly with Engineering and other designers for design concept interpretation and coordination -Time Management & Efficiency: Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline

What You Bring

-Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to com pany and client policies. -OR Associate's Degree in related field with minimum 6 years of design experience -Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship. -Knowledge of Electrical Design codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design -Safety and Standards Adherence: Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Proficient with both 2D and 3D design software -Working knowledge of basic engineering techniques, principals, standards, and concepts for assigned engineering discipline; competent in the basic concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline -Preferred experience with Plant 3D, or Revit -AutoCAD and Smart Plant experience is required -Bachelor’s Degree in related field with a minimum of 3 years of design experience -OR minimum of 10 years of experience as a designer -Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs
