The Role

Overview

Manage traffic control, set up signs, flagger duties, ensure safety in work zones

Tasks

-Drive a company vehicle to transport equipment, trailers, and team members to and from work sites safely and in a timely manner. May also pull lightweight trailered equipment. -Set up, maintain, and remove Advance Warning Signs, Channelizing Devices, and other traffic control devices according to Federal, State, and/or Local Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines and Temporary Traffic Control Plans for simple and intermediate complexity work zones. -Position lifts or carries objects up to 50 pounds. -The position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. -Maintain a Flagger Station by standing and controlling road users through the use of hand signals with a STOP/SLOW Paddle. -Notify Supervisor of any potential safety issues or incidents. -Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to Protector -Follow all company safety procedures and practices.

What You Bring

-High School Diploma or GED completion required. -Stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field -Valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation. -Effective radio communication with team members on work site. -Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification or 2000+ verifiable hours required -Valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation required -Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills. -Frequent exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites including high noise level in the work environment. -Achieve organizational required training within timeframe established by. Project Manager or Facility Manager. -Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles. -Position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. -Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems. -Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification or 2000+ verifiable hours required. -Prior experience preferred in temporary traffic control services, utility industry, or construction industry preferred. -Must be able to follow safe workplace practices.
