Graduate Engineer

Overview

Conduct lab testing & product development for road materials.

Tasks

-Communicate with Technical Manager to maintain an adequate inventory of small equipment, chemicals, and other supplies needed in the laboratory -Record, analyze and communicate tests results to the Technical Manager, plant foreman and other team members -Ensure equipment is calibrated and standardized according to schedule -Participate in the development of new test methods -Participate in product development work and technical support – for both Chemoran, the group of Colas companies and external customers -Conduct chemical, bitumen and bitumen emulsion testing to defined specifications and test procedures

What You Bring

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Graduate Engineer to work along side an experienced team, who are experts in the road maintenance sector. -A knowledge of pavement materials, testing and pavement design methods would be advantageous. -Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint -Understand and comply with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems of the Colas Ireland group -A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering -Good communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical reports.
