Manage office operations, facilities, staff, and admin tasks for Bird's Edmonton office.

Tasks

-Promote a professional office image and stakeholder communication -Lead by example and ensure direct reports meet or exceed required Bird learning hours -Administer security systems, access controls, and emergency response plans -Ensure safety compliance through inspections, drills, and committee participation -Conduct performance plans, assessments, and contribute to the recruitment, mentoring, training, and performance management of direct reports -Liaise with Property Manager and oversee facility maintenance and building services -Support corporate initiatives, shared services, and team transitions -Monitor direct reports’ vacation balances and ensure compliance with company policies -Manage office facilities, office overheads, and vendor relationships -Handle licensing renewals and legal documentation -Maintain district distribution lists -Coordinate onboarding, professional headshots, workspace setup, and employee recognition programs -Provide administrative and financial support, including invoice processing -Plan and execute internal events, meetings, recognition gifts, and engagement activities

What You Bring

-Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail -Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skill -Proven ability to demonstrate high level of confidentiality, including tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a sensitive nature -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) required -5+ years’ experience in the capacity of Office Manager or senior administrative role supplemented by other aspects of office management including experience in facility management -Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships both internal and externally -Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
