The Role

Overview

Lead commercial strategy & management for large EPC transmission projects in Scotland.

Tasks

-Develop and implement effective negotiating strategies with respect to contractual matters and issues. -Provide Directors and delivery teams with proactive commercial support and lead delivery of commercial strategies. -Ensure that any necessary contractual notices are served in accordance with the terms of each contract. -Ensure effective post contract commercial management of the relevant framework, contract, or project in accordance with Wood’s commercial policies and procedures. -Encourages cooperation across all business units, regions, and functions, sharing ideas, learning and best practice -Manage commercial resources deployed on projects and ensure appropriate training and development is provided. -Ensure commercial entitlement is pursued and obtained in accordance with the terms of the contracts. -Develop relationships with key client personnel and lead Wood’s support with regards to the client’s project sanction process. -Bring focus to key execution risks and ensure robust mitigation plans are developed and implemented.

What You Bring

-The ability to communicate complex principles effectively at all levels within the organization -Substantial experience in a similar role with consolidated leadership/management experience ideally gained within Transmission and Distribution sector although not essential -Ability to demonstrate teamwork, respect, integrity, innovation, and a client-driven approach -Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplines at all levels of the business with a practical, hands-on approach -Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures -Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies, along with appropriate professional qualification (preferred) -Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation -Proven experience in contract administration including change management
