Structural Engineer 2 (PA)

Overview

Design and support of structural components for industrial facilities

Key Responsibilities

• bid packages
• site layout
• rfi response
• 3d modeling
• bom creation
• analysis reports

Tasks

-Create contractor bid packages. -Perform site layout. -Create contractor scopes of work. -Answer RFIs from contractors. -Coordinate with other discipline engineers and designers. -Write structural analysis reports. -Coordinate with Structural AutoCAD designers to create facility 3D models and construction drawings. -Create bills of material (BOMs). -Execute structural calculations. -Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality. -Review shop drawings. -Review vendor drawings. -Write specifications (pre-engineered metal buildings, Geotech, etc.) -Review drawings and models for accuracy. -This position does not have any regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members.
