Tasks
-Support employee development through training, mentorship, and performance feedback; participate in hiring and onboarding. -Communicate with regulatory authorities and address project-specific requirements -Lead and manage projects from proposal through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met. -Conduct soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling using established safety protocols -Work at outdoor sites including wetlands, forests, grasslands, construction zones, and undeveloped land. -Perform Phase I and II ESA technical writing and fieldwork -Track project financial performance, including cost control, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis. -Conduct site investigations, collect and evaluate data, and prepare comprehensive reports -Travel on foot across uneven, rugged, or obstructed terrain, sometimes in areas inaccessible by vehicle. -Assist with identifying add-on or follow-on work opportunities through client engagement and field visibility. -Ensure project alignment with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., PST, CERCLA, RCRA, ASTM standards) -Participate in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, laboratory, safety, and operational teams. -Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to manage expectations, address issues, and ensure satisfaction. -Ensure all activities adhere to company safety protocols and regulatory requirements -Review and approve timesheets, reports, and client documentation; ensure timely submission of project deliverables. -Work is performed at a desk for extended periods using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment in a climate-controlled office environment. -Develop project estimates, proposals, and scopes of work in collaboration with technical and business development teams -Coordinate and assign resources, including field technicians and support staff, to ensure project needs are met efficiently

What You Bring
-This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work. -Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate lab and field equipment for extended periods. -Ability to lift and carry between 35–75 lbs. of equipment or samples over distances up to 75 feet. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific platforms (e.g., project management, data reporting systems). -Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats in varied environments, often while wearing PPE. -Minimum of 5+ years of environmental consulting experience -Ability to use sensory capabilities to see (including close and distant vision, color perception, depth perception, and focus) and smell for observation and safety purposes -Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and interface with clients and regulatory bodies effectively -Regular in-person communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders is required. -Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, rain, or sun. -Professional Geologist; PG or Professional Engineer; PE registration/license -Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and balance as needed during both lab and fieldwork. -Certifications in relevant inspection or testing areas preferred (e.g., ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear Safety). -Knowledge of environmental permitting, regulations, and testing methods -Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills -Willingness to travel to job sites and work in diverse environmental conditions -This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring flexibility to work effectively from both a professional office and work site setting. -Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
