The Role

Overview

Coordinate material expediting, submittals, schedules, and documentation for construction projects.

Tasks

-Assist Project Superintendent in maintaining "as built" drawings. -For projects that require multiple Project Engineers, a Senior Project Engineer may be assigned to mentor/manage the other Project Engineers and give advice. -Maintains a record set of construction documents ensuring that Subcontractors, Suppliers and all Site personnel have the most current drawings. -Manages delivery of all Subcontractor and Supplier materials to the project. -Develops and maintains an expediting schedule and list of material procurement for the assigned project. -Assists all Field personnel in the interpretation of drawings, specification, Requests for Information and questions for and from the Architect/Engineer. -Ensures material received is for correct quantity and quality, and that all materials conform to the contract documents and approved shop drawings. -Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. -Provides reports on the status of project milestones and verify that all Supplies can meet project delivery date. -Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for project correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, coordination, and expediting materials within area of assigned. -Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management. -Evaluates design changes, specifications, and drawing releases and reviews the changes with the Project Superintendent. -Prepares interim and completion project reports

What You Bring

-Highly motivated with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. -2 - 3 years of project engineering or construction experience with a general contracting company preferred. -Bluebeam, Revit and Navisworks software experience a plus -Construction Management, Architectural or Engineering Degree from a 4 year college. -Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents
