The Role
Overview
Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems per code.

Tasks
-Notify the foreman/crew leader, superintendent or management when the continued operation of equipment could be hazardous or could cause a safety violation -Layout and work from ladders, aerial lifts, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, outlet/junction boxes, fixtures and fixture whips -Install panel boards, transformers, motor control centers and motors -Utilize time management skills in order to manage one’s own time and the time of others -Place conduit, pipes or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes -Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects -Inspect and trouble shoot electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety rules -Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem -Direct and instruct apprentices and helpers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures -Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including circuit tracers, volt meters, megger, proximity testers and ohmmeters -Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components -Layout, install, repair or replace electrical wiring, equipment, components and fixtures using hand and power tools; based on job specifications, electrical drawings and local codes -Maintain trade specific tools and are required as shown in Adams Electric’s tool list -Assist with administration duties such as preparing Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis and preparation of safety reports -Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of system

What You Bring
-Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (Hard hat, vest, protective eye ware, safety boots.) -High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) -Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening process -Licensed as an electrician OR -Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis. -3 - 7 years related experience or equivalent knowledge and experience
