Field Service Technician II (AMS)

Overview

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and overhaul of gas compressor packages.

Tasks

-Responsible for accurately completing basic engine tuning functions to adjust engine performance and emissions on multiple major OEM’s (CAT/Waukesha) -Responsible for accurate troubleshooting of electrical systems, basic controls, and unit control panels such as Murphy, and Altronic. -Independently diagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently. -Responsible for providing basic leadership and training to new Field Technicians. -Represents the company in a professional manner at all times while providing outstanding customer service that aligns with Enerflex visions and values. -Provides input to Supervisor on personnel and materials needs to provide optimal job planning. -Responsible for submitting accurate field service reports, expense reports, timesheets and other necessary paperwork daily.

What You Bring

-Must recognize and comply with Health, Safety and Environmental rules and policies that are applicable to each location. -Possess knowledge and ability to respond and repair recurring problems and emergency services as needed independently. -CAT Gas II -Must have 5-10 years applicable experience -Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department -Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and stretch over and under pipeline equipment. -CAT 3500 ADEM III -Ability to lift, pull, push minimum of 50lbs. -Ability to complete, accurate, and timely rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines and controls on gas compressor packages in the field in adverse conditions with limited to no supervision. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and some vocational/technical related experience preferred -Ariel Basic -Must be able to be on a call-out rotation and effectively make emergency repairs. -Ability to work in all climates and temperatures to do repairs on equipment. -CAT Gas I -Ability to independently assist installation of new units including commissioning and start-up inspections with little to no supervision accurately. -Ariel Mechanical -Must be able to work under pressure -CAT Electrical -Knowledge and ability to perform mechanical inspection using micrometers, pressure gauges, electronic diagnostic equipment and other specialty tools independently. -Must have proof of certification from CAT/ Waukesha (or equivalent) to: -CAT 3500ULB
