The Role

Overview

Lead and manage delivery of major rail programmes, maintaining safety, budget and stakeholder alignment.

Tasks

-Delivers the programme objectives in line with the Project Execution Plan, leads and manages the project team/s and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs). -Oversees programme timeframes and budgets, ensuring successful delivery of projects, highlighting any risks, challenges and mitigations.. -Provides subject matter knowledge to support the team(s) from the broader Mace projects and business units to assist in ensuring the best project outcome. -Prepares and modifies where necessary project plans and keeps them updated and relevant over the course of the project/s. -Leads and records relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis. -Takes ownership of project changes, as and when necessary, tracking project changes and ensuring they are progressed and formalised within the agreed timeframes. -Collaborates with the team/s (client, design team and other consultants, and contractor) and all stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project in line with all expectations communicating strategies to the team. -Determines and arranges project & programme management, technical services and external resources required for the project on an individual and team basis on behalf of client organisation. -Collaborates with relevant stakeholders and ensures robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored in line with Service Excellence. -Partners with relevant stakeholders and is actively involved in risk management and mitigation treatments.

What You Bring

-Accredited NEC4 Project Manager -Demonstrates Mace's value of Safety First, exhibiting visible safety behaviours and using safety moments and Mace's HSW framework. -Member of a relevant professional body with chartered status -Knowledge of CDM regulations -Experience working in the Rail sector. Sound understanding of Network Rail procedures. -Formal qualification in Programme Management. -Knowledge of Network Rails Project governance -Substantial experience of programme management and delivery within a major programme of work in the rail industry. -Experience of contract administration and management, commercially aware and focused. -Experience of construction Design & Management regulations, H&S management, legislation and best practices. -Experience of the UK rail industry and its regulatory framework.
