Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical)

Overview

Electrical maintenance for student accommodation, including reactive repairs and system monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Weekly flushing of water outlets in all unoccupied rooms -Bi-annual Fire Door inspections (full training will be provided), ensuring necessary adjustments are completed / faults & damage recorded accurately -Monthly temperature monitoring of Hot & Cold water systems -Provide initial response to all Reactive Maintenance requests during normal working hours and Out of Hours as part of the On-call Out of Hours Rota -Carry out replacement of luminaires & general LV outlets & accessories -Undertake replacements of electrical appliances and fittings as needed -Continuous monitoring and maintenance of mechanical systems, fittings and plantrooms -Weekly fire alarm testing on the student accommodation -Undertake minor repairs to faults reported within student bedrooms and shared kitchen facilities covering all elements of building Fabric, Fixtures & Fittings -Provide maintenance at the student accommodation sites in Kingston upon Thames

Requirements

• relevant experience

What You Bring

-Full UK driving licence -Working knowledge of ACOP L8 desirable -Ability to work to tight deadlines, under own initiative or through instruction -Quarterly shower head & hose cleaning in accordance with L8 requirements (full training will be provided) -Suitable Electrical qualification (minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent) -Demonstrable experience in a similar role essential
