Tasks
- Implement upselling techniques to enhance the overall event experience. This is a full-time, on-site role in Honolulu, HI for a Business Development & Marketing Coordinator. The Coordinator will handle tasks such as writing proposals, analyzing data, managing special events atvtrade shows and providing exceptional customer service. The role involves supporting our business development team and working collaboratively to identify and pursue new business opportunities. - Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and customer insights that inform marketing strategies. - Track sales leads from inception through the sales pipeline, ensuring timely proposal submission, providing regular follow up post proposal submission. - Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement. - Maintain strong relationships with vendors, venues, and clients in our industry. - You must be a People Person! You will be a key person interacting with clients and attending trade and industry events. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention. - Plan and coordinate all aspects of marketing, trade shows, and other industry events we plan to attend, including logistics, set-up, breakdown, and on-site execution. - Track performance metrics of submitted proposals and report findings to improve future submissions. - Represent the company by attending marketing, trade shows, and other industry events. - Support the sales team by providing insights into client needs and market trends. - Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email, social media, and content marketing. - Assist the Director of Business Development with the proposal development and proposal assembly process, from inception to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines. - Assistant to the Director of Business Development, helping with proposal preparation, sales efforts, attendance at industry events and marketing activities. - Create visually appealing proposal documents, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality presentation, following company standards. - Collaborate with team members, clients, contractors and others to gather necessary information and resources for proposal preparation.

What You Bring
- Enjoy attending and representing our firm at trade shows and industry events. - Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging proposals tailored to different audiences. - Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service excellence. ** Honolulu, Hawaii Resident Preferred. No relocation for this opportunity. - Proven experience in proposal coordination, managing customer relationships, in-person sales and marketing, and a strong understanding of the importance of a positive customer experience. - Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for detail. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. - Experience using CRM tools for managing client interactions. - Experience in a construction, engineering, or architecture firm is preferred. -Are you originally from Hawaii, or do you have ties to Hawaii? -Honolulu, HI 96813 (Required) -Experience in the construction, real estate or property management industry is a plus -Enjoys public speaking and calling clients on the phone -Honolulu, HI 96813 (Local Preferred) -Property management experience a plus -Strong Analytical Skills and ability to analyze data -Proficiency in Market Research and Proposal Writing -Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field -Cold calling and follows through with active communication on new leads -Do you have any construction experience? -Ability to create tracking logs to establish trend analysis reports -Do you have any event planning experience? -Public speaking skills a plus. -Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment -Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
