Tasks

-Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment -Support payroll processing for field and office personnel, including certified payroll for government contracts -Participate in month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations -Contribute to a LEAN project related to financial processes or reporting improvements, culminating in a presentation to company leaders -Prepare financial and operational reports for project teams and senior leadership -Participate in Book Club assignments to build leadership and communication skills -Reconcile vendor statements and assist in resolving discrepancies -Help prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking reports -Learn and utilize accounting systems such as Spectrum and project management tools like Procore

What You Bring

Desired Majors: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (with an accounting or finance concentration), Economics, or Business with a quantitative focus -We’re looking for students who have shown solid academic performance — at least a 3.0 GPA in upper-division courses for your major, or a 2.75 GPA overall. -We are looking for humble and hungry, agile students who have a drive for results, a desire to learn, and who can quickly build relationships. -Skill Development: Training in financial reporting, cost analysis, and payroll processing -Hands-On Experience: Exposure to both corporate and project-level accounting and finance -Exceptional communication skills, interest, and enthusiasm related to electrical engineering and/or construction. -Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research, or engineering internships. -Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation on or before August 2027 -We are looking for students who are passionate about engineering and the construction industry. -Must be able to relocate to Bakersfield, CA for the entirety of the internship. -Ability to work full-time for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 -Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations.

Pay range: Pay Range: $16.00/hr. - $22.00/hr. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
