Tasks

-Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management. -Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for future projects. -Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments; -Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and manage outgoing payments; -Project and Construction Accounting: Track project costs, budgets, and financial reporting for construction projects related to biochar facilities; -Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards relevant to the organics management industry; -Audit Support: Assist with external audits and required lender reporting, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required. -Invoicing: Prepare and issue invoices to customers from receiving and operations reports; -Financial Processes: Evaluate and improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy; -General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries; -Payroll: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, as well as Federal and state reporting and compliance.

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Acumatica, Vantagepoint) and Microsoft Excel. -Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. -Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. -3 to 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. -CPA or CMA certification is preferred. -Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. -Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
