The Role
Overview
Inspect, maintain & operate 132kV electrical network equipment as an Electrical Fitter.

Tasks
-Support the maintenance team with planned and unplanned switching activities, including network isolation and restoration, within your authorised level, and contribute to detailed planning of how, when, and where works are carried out. -Play an active role in delivering maintenance projects in line with agreed KPIs, ensuring all plant and equipment—both electrical and mechanical—operate within specified limits. -Represent Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks professionally when engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including the National Grid and small-scale power stations, to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold the SSE brand. -Maintain an unwavering commitment to safety, following all relevant SSE policies and procedures in every task you undertake.

What You Bring
-Experience and/or authorisations to work on the electrical distribution network would be advantageous. -Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential to this role as we deal with customer related issues face-to-face on a daily basis -Up to £45,905 - requires 11kv SAP PTW -Knowledge of the UK Electrical Distribution Network. -Up to £51,484 - requires 33kv SAP PTW -Up to £57,728 - requires 132kv SAP PTW -Full PPE and tools required for the role. -Previous Experience as an Electrical Fitter across 11kv and 33kv would be advantageous. -Electrical or mechanical experience if your previous working history is outside of a DNO and a high regard for safety
