The Role

Overview

Manage procurement of materials, coordinate with suppliers, internal staff, and finance.

Tasks

-Establish relations and communications with suppliers required for free flow of information concerning materials, and relay information specific to changes in designs, lead times, market trends and new developments to appropriate Buyer/Planners. -Select from qualified sources of supply, as predefined by buyer/planners, to obtain materials. Validated price, terms, and conditions for all purchased/sold materials, and follow established processes for successful procurement of spare/repair parts. -Coordinate tactical requirements between Support Specialists, customers (Schindler Field Organization), and suppliers. Collaborate with internal customers and other support functions to meet to meet or exceed customer needs and performance objectives. -Liaison with finance personnel (internal/external) on the resolution of cost/invoicing variances. -Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards for all. -Create Value for the Customer: Deliver innovative, reliable solutions. -Integrity and Trust: Foster honest, ethical relationships.

What You Bring

-3-5 years Experience in purchasing-related field -3-5 years Functional expertise in the discipline of supply chain or customer service -Problem solving skills or lean six sigma -ELEC/MECH Engineering, drawing and BOM -3-5 years MS Office Suite -3-5 years SAP or ERP system expertise -Associates degree or technical degree with 0-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
