Tasks

-Preparation of detailed architectural designs, architectural details and specifications -Prepare creative, functional and innovative designs for clients -Working with various disciplines to develop designs, meet with clients as required. -Preparation of planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, illustrations and graphics, construction details, construction documents, technical specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects -Provide support to the Architectural Manager and Project Manager across all phases of building design and construction projects as required. -Maintain conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes -Perform as a Senior Architect with both internally and externally facing relationships and responsibilities -Assist in business development -Use computer software as a tool for solving architectural problems

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Revit is a must -Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institute or equivalent experience -Ability to work with various Canadian municipalities for permitting and development approvals process -Knowledge of Ontario Building Code -Holding or ability to obtain security clearance -Experience in Alternative Delivery models (IPD, MDB, etc.) -Strong presentation skills -Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailing -Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and other artistic methods necessary to convey creative or technical ideas -Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Project Management Experience is an asset -Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position -Strong conceptual and technical knowledge of building construction -Bachelor’s degree in architecture with 6+ years of relevant professional experience with complex buildings -Must be a Licensed Architect with the OAA -Collaborative and ability to work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary including internal and external consultants and specialists -Client facing with string communication skills
