Tasks

-Measure, mark, and cut raw materials using measuring tapes, saws, and related cutting tools. -Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations. -Conduct quality checks on parts and finished assemblies to ensure they meet company standards. -Perform basic wiring, testing, and troubleshooting on assembled units when necessary. -Install and secure components according to drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality compliance. -While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or feel materials. -Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions to correctly position and fit parts. -Perform saw cutting operations as part of the elevator platform fabrication and assembly process, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. -Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain an efficient workflow and achieve daily production targets. -Assemble elevator platform components using rivets, bolts, screws, clamps, and other fasteners. -Operate hand and power tools such as drills, C-clamps, rivet guns, and nail guns as required. -Follow detailed Material Data Sheets (MDS) and work instructions under the direction of the Lead Hand.

What You Bring

-Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. -The work environment of this job has the employee regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and is exposed to vibration from grinder. The employee works in a plant manufacturing facility that is regulated by heat in the cold months and flow through air in the warm months. -Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely. -Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. -Proven experience as a General Assembler, Mechanical Assembler, or Production Worker in a manufacturing environment (elevator, lift, or related industry preferred). -The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. -Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. -Employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally and lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds with assistance of another person. Assistance is available for weights above persons lifting capabilities. -Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. -The employee is required to walk throughout facility. -Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
