Tasks

-Manages Next 150/Site Services material and crew needs -Leads and develops ground up construction with foundation experience -Conducts maintenance and planning of “workarounds,” shutdowns and tie-ins -Interprets and translates the organizational strategy, ensuring team understanding of their role in accomplishing strategic goals -Coordinates and manages jobsite logistics -Develops the Quality in Construction (QIC) plan in partnership with the Operations Excellence team, oversees the plan and implements necessary changes -Obtains or verifies that subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction purposes -Maintains a thorough understanding of contract documents in order to coordinate trades, plan ahead, and proactively anticipate potential problems -Directs and coordinates Gilbane’s trade contractors and their sub-contractors, to ensure high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule -Manages the project budget for general conditions and Next 150/Site Services -Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan regarding changes made in the field -Acts as primary safety representative in the field, monitoring safety performance and verifying safety compliance with all trades -Establishes credibility among owners, trade contractors, unions, and other project partners by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment -Administers Time and Materials (T&M) tracking -Leads contractor meetings -Leads technical trainings for continued education -Accountable for review, completion, and accuracy of daily reports -Resolves jurisdictional disputes with support of Business Unit (BU) leadership -Drive Team Accountability - Determine priorities and delegate work; monitor and communicate progress. Establish measures to assess the impact, quality and timeliness of results; praise success and learn from mistakes. -Develops safety strategies and drives safety culture across all project personnel -Mentors and develops junior project team members on project needs, construction knowledge, and business acumen -Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members -Participates in business development, project pursuits, and preconstruction needs, including writing scopes of work and participating in buyout -Coach and Develop Others - Provide feedback, instruction, and development guidance to help others excel in their current or future job responsibilities. Plan for and support development of individual skills and abilities. -Supervises and develops the project team -Responsible for the career development and coaching of team members -Follows-up with the appropriate Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to schedule and complete necessary inspections -Build High Performing Teams - Attract, select, develop, recognize, and retain talented individuals. Utilize motivation and discipline to maximize performance and impact on the organization. -Engages in the community, growing and fostering relationships in the local market -May be required to assist with tasks typically assigned to more junior positions -Communicates schedule status, updates, and changes to project team and trade contractors -Leads or delegates stretch and flex, and daily huddle -Actively engages or leads the Superintendent peer group -Leads site walks with the owner, architect/engineer, and financial institutions to show construction progress

Manage emotions effectively in ourselves and our relationships. -Excellent organizational skills -Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan -STS-C Certification -Leverage Business Insights – Understand and act on industry trends, local market and economic conditions and our business model to make decisions and create competitive advantage. -Construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction -Ability to participate in sales process, interviews, and presentations. -Knowledge of labor relations -15+ years of experience on a $100 million+ Semiconductor/Healthcare/Labratory construction project or multiple projects in a superintendent role -Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs -Strong technical and communication skills -Must be experienced supervising and leading a larger project team -Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management -OSHA 30-hour certified -Ability to lead in a team environment -Or equivalent combination of education and experience -Familiarity with Pull Planning Process -Proficient in Microsoft Office and other industry standard construction software tools -Ability to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude -First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training
