The Role

Overview

Perform surveying tasks, field note reduction, AutoCAD drafting, and compute stakeout data.

Tasks

-Draft survey reports and assist in creating legal descriptions for projects. -Collaborate with project surveyors to make preliminary boundary determinations. -Secure information from government agencies to prepare projects for Survey. -Prepare detailed worksheets for mapping with proper notations and references. -Input and reduce field notes for various survey types. -Utilize AutoCAD to create and complete deed plots, closures, mapping, and stakeout computations. -Perform critical computations for construction stakeouts, boundary, topographic, and utility surveys.

What You Bring

-Organizational skills to manage projects and maintain neat portfolios. -A.A.S. Degree in Surveying Technology or certificate from college or technical school; or five plus (5+) years of related experience; and/or an equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience. -Understand and protract deeds, maps, and easements with all proper notations. -Knowledge of surveying and contour plotting. -Valid driver’s license. -Complete understanding of AutoCAD, experience with Civil 3D is preferred. -Proficiency in surveying mathematics.
