Construction Inspector

Inspect construction projects, verify plans, test materials, document work, and travel as needed.

Tasks

-Performing field observation/inspection. -Prepare pay estimates, and produce project documentation for private, municipal, county, MnDOT, NDDOT, and federal projects. -You may also help with surveying, proposals, project budgets and schedules and may be involved in design-build, pavement management, or a variety of other technical related activities. -Verify compliance with the plans and specifications. -Documentation will include daily diaries, quantity calculations and backup documentation, letters, memos, and spreadsheets. -Material sampling and testing.

What You Bring

-Material testing experience as well as current MnDOT technical certifications are preferred. Qualified candidates should send a copy of your current DOT certification card when applying. -Applicant must be willing to travel and perform assigned duties outside of the immediate Fargo area. -Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required. -Excellent technical, communication, organizational skills. -Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. -You must have the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains associated with construction sites. -1+ years of construction inspection or related experience is required (5+ years of experience preferred). -Municipal, heavy civil roadway and bridge construction inspection who want to better themselves and want to be challenged.
