The Role

Overview

Oversee daily warehouse operations, staff, safety, inventory, shipping and receiving.

Tasks

-Communicate with supervisor and manager as needed when operation is not in accordance with organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws for further investigation. -Ensure local delivery orders are picked, staged, audited, and loaded onto delivery vehicles per delivery routes constructed in Innovo. -Develop and implement improved methods of materials handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficiency, service, and reduced costs. -Ensure appropriate training is provided to and completed by warehouse team members. -Ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment. -Provide for the security, scheduled maintenance, and calibration of warehouse and warehouse equipment. -Identify deficiencies and/or areas of improvement and communicate to management team for resolution. -Responsible for the overall supervision of the warehouse operations in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

What You Bring

-3+ years of experience working in a warehouse, electrical product materials handling, and/or wholesale electrical parts distribution capacity. -Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs. -Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification. -Proficient in general computer usage, to include Microsoft Office programs. -Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). -Ability to use contemporary merchandise processing equipment, such as hand-held scanners. -Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification. -Valid driver's license. -Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs. -Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships). -Demonstrated knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations. -Ability to utilize, or learn to use, all necessary computer software and industrial equipment. -Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device. -Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point). -Ability to perform basic mathematics and arithmetic. -Working knowledge of Innovo, preferred. -Demonstrated product and application knowledge. -High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). -Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). -Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment.
