Tasks

As an Intermediate Project Controller, you will support projects that span multiple disciplines within our organization in order to deliver high quality and sustainable solutions to our clients. You will have the opportunity to expand your career by working on exciting and high-profile water, waste, and energy projects. -Complete administrative duties appropriate and necessary for the smooth implementation of the job role within the assigned project. -Plan and implement project costs and schedule control resources, processes, tools, and systems on the assigned projects. -Prepare Project Monthly Reports, Progress Reports and Ad-hoc reports as required. -Transfer learning from actual project implementation into the improvement of company guidelines and procedures. -Perform quality reviews on project reports prepared by other members of the Project Controls team. -Develop schedules, work breakdown structures and cost breakdown structures. -Provide support to the Project Management team to plan the complete project delivery sequence, budgets, and schedule. -Perform ongoing analysis of project performance data. -Apply company guidelines and procedures in the areas of project cost, performance, forecasting, and schedule controls on the assigned projects. -Participate in all interactive estimate reviews related to the project estimates.

What You Bring

Your experience in the industry and/or consulting, as well as your project and people skills will enable you to make a difference in our industry and inspire new and better ways to implement engineering and water management solutions. -Must be fluent in English with good interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication skills. -5+ years of experience in project controls, experience with scheduling multiple projects preferred. -Proficiency in the use of scheduling software Primavera (P6) and/or MS project is required. -Good knowledge of job cost fundamentals for typical items and scopes where design and/or schematics have been provided. -Strong skills in the areas of scheduling, budgeting, cost control, cost system application, and construction cost management are essential. -Good critical and conceptual thinking skills. -Strong skills and knowledge of project scheduling and overall project planning are essential. -Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. -Good organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. -Must legally be able to work in Canada. -University Degree, College Diploma or trade background or equivalent experience. -Ability to prioritize and control multiple projects of various sizes and complexity concurrently.
