Overview

Design and support municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects as a civil engineering intern.

Tasks

-Design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater. -Supporting constructability reviews. -Preparing documentation for design projects and reports. -Supporting project specifications and contract documents. -Supporting construction cost estimates. -Technical development and delivery of water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment.

What You Bring

-Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment. -Excellent attention to detail. -Experience with municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance infrastructure projects -Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients. -Experience with MicroStation, Civil 3D, or AutoCAD would be an asset. -Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are also eligible to apply for this position. -Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position. -Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their Bachelor’s Degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship. -Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other related field and must have completed at least 3 years of study.
