Tasks

-Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and CloudOps teams, contributing senior-level expertise to seamlessly integrate successful models into production systems at scale -Assume a pivotal role as a thought leader, providing expert guidance on data science methods to stakeholders and team members, particularly in navigating complex and ambiguous problem domains -Lead collaboration with cross-functional partners, ensuring seamless integration of machine learning models into operational workflows to drive strategic initiatives -Spearhead the development of innovative analyses, leveraging diverse data sets to significantly impact decision-making and propel the evolution of product features -Lead initiatives to strengthen and scale analytics infrastructure and processes, aligning with senior-level strategic objectives for enhanced efficiency and impact -Translate intricate business questions into analytical problems solvable with advanced data science techniques, emphasizing a nuanced approach to problem-solving -Apply advanced analytical techniques with a depth of experience to architect scalable solutions that address complex business challenges -Drive the establishment of efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation, emphasizing a senior-level perspective on optimization and performance

Collaborating seamlessly with members of the DNA team, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders across the enterprise, the Senior Data Scientist contributes valuable insights to guide decision-making and drive strategic initiatives. With a focus on delivering heightened value, they navigate ambiguous problem domains, leading the team in tackling sophisticated analytical tasks. In addition to their analytical prowess, Senior Data Scientists actively mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence. Their overarching goal is to elevate the data science capabilities of the organization, ensuring impactful contributions to business objectives. Please note: Our current onsite work schedule requires attendance from Monday through Thursday each week, with remote work permitted on Fridays. -Adaptability to learn new technologies and tools -Experienced with data platforms like Databricks of Snowflake or processing frameworks like Apache Spark -Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning -Expert in Python and SQL, competency in Scala/Java/C++ also considered -Collaborative and Technical Mentor: You enjoy working alongside data engineers and analysts to bring models to life, and you naturally elevate those around you — sharing code practices, explaining modeling choices, and helping others see the “why” behind the work. -A Builder and Problem Solver: You thrive in ambiguous environments, shaping structure out of complexity. You’re motivated by solving hard, high-impact problems — from modeling resident behavior to optimizing pricing systems — and take pride in seeing your work move from prototype to production. -4-8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics roles -Effective communication and collaboration skills -Act as a seasoned communicator, effectively conveying technical concepts and insights to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise, embodying the senior perspective in articulating complex ideas with clarity and impact -Significant experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods -Time management and organizational abilities -Hands on experience with one of the major cloud platforms preferred, Azure experience a plus -Business-Curious and Insight-Driven: You’re as comfortable digging into the data as you are discussing trade-offs with business leaders. You ask sharp questions, produce clear narratives, and connect analytical outcomes to decisions that drive measurable results. -Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline -Scientifically Rigor and Pragmatic: You pair strong statistical and machine learning foundations with the judgment to choose the right level of complexity. You care about sound experimentation and model validity but know that elegant, deployable solutions matter most.

Salary: $150,000 - $184,000 per year; in addition to base salary, a discretionary 13% annual bonus is provided.
