Tasks

-Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics. -Conduct research on innovative technologies and strategies to enhance the functionality of systems. -Assist in loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers. -Monitor system performance, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement or optimization. -Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installations. -Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per the intent of the project requirements. -Assist with validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems to ensure proper operation.

What You Bring

-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. -Must possess US work authorization and not require sponsorship for an employment visa by Envelop Group at any time in the future. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to read and understand mechanical design documents (duct layouts, piping schematics, riser diagrams). -Willingness to travel to customer job sites, which may involve outdoor work and environments such as mechanical or equipment rooms. Site visits may expose the employee to varying weather conditions, moving machinery, heights, and other environmental factors.

Benefits

Envelop Group's internship program offers a combination of mentoring, learning activities, and field work designed to give broad exposure to the inner workings of HVAC and Building Automation. This paid internship is located in Indianapolis, IN with flexible start and end dates from May to August 2026. Interns must be available to work up to 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks. -Preference will be given to local candidates; no relocation or housing stipend is available this position.
