Tasks

The Collections Manager will oversee a team of 5-6 Account Specialists responsible for the monitoring and collecting of accounts receivable balances for one or more of the Company’s regions, as well as other key reports for senior management. -Review and monitor delinquent accounts, assist Account Specialists with resolution -Supports overall Company culture of developing productive teams through leadership, training, developmental experiences, collaboration, feedback, and mentoring -Proactively identify and resolve tenant disputes -Conduct monthly collection meetings with Regional Presidents to address delinquent accounts and tenant issues -Responsible for staff training, appraisals, goal setting and issue resolution -Recommend courses of action for delinquent tenants, including the need for reserves, litigation or other collections actions -Oversee preparation and timely issuance of delinquency letters, default notices, and tenant fees -Collaborate with legal counsel on litigation, bankruptcies, and payment plans -Monitor compliance with Collection Department policies and procedures

What You Bring

-Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive, confidential information -Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; JD Edwards experience is a plus -Minimum 2 years prior collections management experience, commercial real estate preferred -Assertiveness and problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively -Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills -Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Act, state/federal collection laws, and collections methodology -Professional demeanor in all customer interactions -Proficiency in interpreting financial reports, lease documents, and regulations -Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing request
