The Role
Overview
Supports all phases of government contract administration, from proposals to close‑out.
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Administer active contracts, including tracking deliverables, managing modifications, and maintaining documentation. -Support the Department Manager and Contracts/Subcontracts staff with contract-related tasks as directed. -Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and Customer representatives. -Participate in the development and submission of proposals and bids. -Maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive and proprietary information. -Assist with contract close-out procedures and final reporting. -Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. -Ensure appropriate documentation is acquired and entered into the company's standard logs and databases in a timely manner.

What You Bring
-Critical thinking capability. -Familiarity with the FAR, DFARS and other US government procurement regulations. -Effective decision-making skills. -Familiarity with various contract types (e.g., CPFF, FFP, T&M). -B.A. or B.S. degree, or formal training in Acquisition and Contract Management. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems. -Ability to work with a wide variety of technical, financial and project management staff members. -Excellent attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills. -Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Government contract administration. -Ability to effectively prioritize conflicting demands. -Experience in ship repair industry. -Deltek Costpoint experience. -Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. -Experience with proposals, negotiations, and resolution of issues during contract performance.
