The Role

Overview

Commission and maintain microprocessor control systems while leading automation projects.

Tasks

-Interpret construction schedules and manage QA/QC checklists and commissioning logs. -Calibrate input/output devices such as temperature sensors and pressure transducers. -Upload, download, and modify control software/programs. -Diagnose complex HVAC and electrical systems, including psychometrics, refrigeration, building pressure, life safety, EPMS, steam heating, humidification/dehumidification, and central heating/cooling. -Design automation system graphics and dashboards. -Integrate control points into graphical interfaces and dashboards. -Develop and modify code using ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming. -Lead medium to large-scale automation projects. -Collaborate with design engineers, operations engineers, purchasers, and internal teams. -Create and troubleshoot automation networks and communication protocols. -Apply Sequence of Operations (SOO) to program logic. -Commission microprocessor-based control systems, including PLC, DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and transducers. -Mentor and oversee Automation Technicians (Levels I & II).

What You Bring

-Familiarity with Microsoft SQL or other database applications -PLC programming -Ability to use a multimeter -Ability to work autonomously -AutoCAD Electrical -Understanding of basic process controls such as PID loops, motor control, and commissioning digital/analog devices -Experience with programming Control Systems from scratch -Experience with Microsoft Products -Experience with Rockwell and Schneider Electric systems
