CNC Machine Programmer

Overview

Program CNC machines using Siemens/Fanuc, develop, test, and optimize machining operations.

Tasks

-Set up CNC machines, conduct test runs, and adjust programs for optimal performance. -Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications. -Complete Machine Operation, Maintenance, PM, Spare Management. -Select appropriate tools, materials, and machining processes for each job. -Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols. -Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards. -Collaborate with engineers and global team to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency. -Develop CNC programs (Siemens/Fanuc) using CAD/CAM software for Grinding/Milling/Turning etc operations. -Typically works in manufacturing or Machining facilities. -Maintain documentation of CNC programs, setup sheets, and revisions.

-Attention to detail and precision. -Can adhere to work efficiently in shifts. -Analytical thinking/Troubleshooting and problem-solving. -Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). -Safety gear and adherence to safety protocols are essential. -May require standing for long periods and handling heavy machinery. -Strong understanding of machining processes and materials. -Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks). -Certification in CNC programming (Siemens/Fanuc) or machine tool technology is a plus. -Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Tool handling, mechanical aptitude, drawing interpretation -Operational: Troubleshooting, documentation, inventory basics -Soft Skills: Teamwork, adaptability, time management -Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. -High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in CNC programming or related field preferred. -Time management and organizational skills. -Experience with 3,4, or 5-axis CNC machines is highly desirable. -Strong communication and teamwork.
