Tasks

-Maintain forklift driving certificate for Single Forks, Double-Wide, Box-Clamp, and Roll-Clamp. -Operate trash compactors for waste disposal. -Charge batteries and change propane cylinders. -Monitor raw materials, finished goods, and waste products at all lines and deliver and remove them in a safe and timely manner. -Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional materials and supplies. -Operate balers for towels and broken tissue, cardboard, and poly. -Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping the work area in a clean and orderly condition. -Provide on-the-job training to new employees as needed. -Correctly perform daily forklift inspection at the start of your shift. -Maintain a safe and clean working environment by manually picking up waste paper and other materials. -Band parent rolls cores and puts them in the correct recycling or customer return trailers. -Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. -Conduct regular forklift inspections per the required instruction list. Complete mandatory logs and documents. -Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices. HACCP and OSHA to promote a safe sanitary and hygienically sound workplace. -Work the 12-hour rotating shift requirement. -Operate stretch wrap machine and understand the HU label process. -Service and support all Machine employee requests.

What You Bring

-Must possess a valid forklift certification. -Must have basic knowledge of mathematics and its applications. -Ability to work effectively, courteously, and respectively with other employees. -Both verbal and written communication skills are a must. -A high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of experience in a warehouse setting are preferred. -Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and other computer systems.
