Tasks

This role will establish client relationships, define client needs, develop winning strategies, prepare proposals, and manage the development, design and permitting of a wide range of projects related to solid waste management and environmental services. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, resourceful, well-organized, and a cooperative producer and manager that is able to meet project goals, schedules, and budgets. -Perform and/or check technical calculations and prepare project specifications. -Prepare designs and permit applications to acquire approvals from regulatory bodies. -Prepare detailed models and technical documents to present project design/feasibility findings to stakeholders. -Assess and mitigate project risks in advance of detailed engineering efforts. -Prepare reports, client communications, deliverables, etc. and consult with other internal partners as needed. -Act as the direct point of contact in communication with clients and stakeholders. -Mentor and grow junior staff. -Manage and coordinate the development, design and permitting of multiple projects simultaneously. -Maintain complicated schedules, develop project timelines, coordinate with subcontractors, and manage people and materials to complete jobs on schedule and within budget guidelines. -Assist the ARM business development team, including the preparation of detailed technical proposals. -Pro-actively recognize conditions and problems of non-routine nature and develop effective solutions.

What You Bring

ARM Group LLC is looking for a self-driven and experienced Solid Waste Senior Engineer who has a strong business acumen and embodies an ownership mentality. As a Senior Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of multi-disciplined engineers and scientists, project managers, CAD designers, and other staff to service our solid waste clients’ needs. -Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects. -Strong work ethic and self-motivated mentality. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering. -Excellent communication and public speaking skills: articulate, assertive, and confident. -Reasonably proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and other industry-specific software. -Detail-oriented and thorough. -P.E. registration required. -8+ years of experience in Solid Waste engineering to include facility design, permitting, operations support, and construction oversight projects including hands-on project management. -Must have strong technical competency and analytical ability. -Experience in Landfill Gas system design inclusive of related mechanical systems (blowers and flares). -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. -Experience managing vendor and client payment terms to achieve positive cash flow. -Must be able to work independently and collaborate with peers when appropriate. -Understanding of financial models and budget management. -Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills. -Experience managing and mentoring junior staff.
