The Role

Overview

Handles monthly energy accounting, invoicing, reporting and resolves customer billing issues.

Tasks

-Completes assigned account reconciliations and associated supporting schedules -Prepares assigned journal entries and associated supporting schedules -Effectively communicates with customers to ensure timely payments and issue resolution. -Prepares and updates various management reports, typically in spreadsheets -Energetically works to develop a knowledge base for the wholesale electricity market and TPS’ energy trading and energy management business. -Actively participates on department and company process improvement and system enhancement projects -Prepares, reviews, and distributes monthly customer invoices and reports -Converses with employees and management at all levels on issues related to accounting procedures and processes.

What You Bring

-Dependable, reliable, and predictable attendance is required -Power industry experience preferred -Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred -Strong work ethic, team attitude, and willingness to work extended hours as workload requires -Problem solving in a fast paced environment -Zero to two (0-2) years of Accounting experience -Excellent mathematical skills -Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products, especially Excel -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance -Strong verbal communication skills -Detail oriented, analytical mindset, and a questioning attitude
