Overview
Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with codes, specifications, and contracts.

Tasks
-Implement quantity calculations for pay estimates. -Assists in the preparation of contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other documents or reports required by the project. -Actively participate in Kleinfelder’s Safety Programs. -Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, profiles, and special staking procedures. -Must adhere to all project contract documentation and testing of materials associated with inspections. -Verifies lines and grades of project improvements. -Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes, and specifications. -Coordinate and perform field testing of materials associated with inspection as required. -May direct and coordinate assigned staff as well as mentor’s technical expertise with others. -Prepares and submits daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. -Current/valid State Driver's License REQUIRED with acceptable driving record. -Knowledge and experience with equipment used in construction inspection, and field testing of construction materials. -Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements. -Ability to act as the on-site Administrator in the absence of the on-site Administrator. -Construction field materials testing certifications, i.e. Asphalt, concrete, workzone, pavement marking, environmental, etc. -Associate degree or equivalent to include courses in related work type. -Able to work independently, make routine decisions concerning construction work progress. -Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English fluently. -High school diploma or equivalent. -Ability to pass a fingerprint/background check. -Communicates verbally and in writing with contractor, owner, and project stakeholders as directed. -Minimum 5 years in the field or in trade-related training in a design, construction inspection, construction materials engineering/testing, or other construction related field.
