Tasks

-Monitor calibration status and condition of Inspection/Test and Measuring instruments. -Ensure Go/NoGo checklist is signed off and enough Workfront is available prior to mobilisation of Subcontractor. -Ensure that all punch items are closed on timely basis and assist in commissioning plan. -Ensure all work is executed in compliance with Contract requirements, Petrofac Management System requirements and associated procedures and all relevant standards and national and international standards, as appropriate. -The review of inspection test packages during the course of construction activities. -Implement standardized construction work processes, procedures, manuals and systems and create a system of control in each specific area. -Coordinate with Engineering & PMT to ensure that planned activities are constraints free. -Responsible for managing site construction activities and supervising field personnel for Civil, Building and/or Structural disciplines -Ensure that Lifting activities at site are planned, scheduled, executed with highest regard for personal safety and environment excellence. -Takes ownership of Build Right First Time (QinC) as nominated by CD/SM. Ensures that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current status. Actively participate in Quality control inspection for all type of Concrete works, earth works, building architectural works, grouting works, underground services and structural steel works in line with approved ITP’s. -Coordinate with the Client / QC inspectors for the resolution of site problems. -Ensures closure of all RFIs and related inspection/test records (ITRs) immediately after successful completion of each inspections with minimum/no punchlist -Liaise with other disciplines in the execution of work. -Immediately report any cost affecting inspection results to discipline lead and also highlight to engineering. Ensure all design changes are captured by the change control process. -Coordinate with Subcontractor to timely closure of Non-conformances NCR, Corrective actions (CAR), Daily surveillance (DSR) and Quality Walkthrough, Construction Observation Form (COF) findings. -Monitor completion of system/sub system in his area based on previously forecasted ITRs. -Monitor implementation of PPC (daily progress monitoring). Daily progress report to be submitted to line manager. -Contribute to the development of plans, schedules and estimate for individual work scope. -Assist the site subcontractors in the resolution of drawing interpretation. -Works to a 90 day look ahead schedule and direct all field personnel and subcontractors to achieve completion of the project on schedule, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications. -Challenge every Site Instruction based on Ts and Cs and assess cost impact prior to approval. Be aware of contract Ts & Cs of the subcontractor and scope of responsibilities. -Review work procedures and method statements for earth works, concrete works, steel works, road works etc. and compliance with good work practices and the customers contract specializations. -Prepare and discuss with subcontractor in advance construction method, sequence of works for critical activities. -Initiate scoping sessions with subcontractors to plan activities (be aware of workface planning) -Ensure subcontractors are working with latest issued documents and drawings. Review IFC documents and resolve discrepancies, raise technical queries for clarifications on IFC deliverables in coordination with field engineering team. -Verify the Subcontractor’s execution plan at an early stage and approve only if it aligns with Petrofac deliverables (documents and materials). Challenge Subcontractor for a more efficient execution plan inline within schedule & inline with safety and quality requirement. -Contribute to construction schedule and 6-weeks look-ahead, understand the project plans and specifications, identify and solve problems, order materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process. -Ensure quantity reporting is establish and reported accurately. -Attend subcontract/cost awareness sessions and understand the Responsibility matrices, BOQ & preambles of subcontract. Shall provide assistance to subcontract teams on payment and invoice clearance in accordance with the BOQ and guide/manage sub-contractor change requests by complete assessment of works in the interest of the company within the framework of the subcontract. -Ensure adequate storage and preservation of equipment & bulks before and after installation. -Conduct a review of all Site Instructions & Variation Orders (issued, approved, rejected) with Subcontracts Manager on a monthly basis. Keep evidences of changes requested. -Ensure competency check of construction supervisor and subcontractors, ensure personnel are qualified and competent to perform allocated tasks, have valid certification, where required, for the techniques in use. -Highlight to Construction Manager & Subcontractor in advance on area of concern that might have an impact on project execution. Review daily/weekly job progress report and cost reports and issue to line management for ensuring progress and managing slippage in coordination with mechanical construction.

What You Bring

-8+ Civil and Structural Engineering experience in direct hire construction with an international oil & gas EPC company and with subcontractors -Has knowledge and experience to solve civil, building, structural issues onsite and provide guidance to subcontractors. -Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce -Understands the systems turnover plan and sequence and ensures that the work is performed accordingly. -Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university. -Must have working knowledge and interpretation skills of building sectional/reinforcement and structural steel drawings -Familiar with International codes and standards(BS,ASTM.ACI etc.), concrete/asphalt mix designs, laboratory testing of concrete, asphalt, earth works and grouting -Trained in lifting and scaffolding supervision (preferred). -Good communications skills -Experience working in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS/FSU), Middle East, and/or North Africa
